Congratulations
Congratulations to the BFC's Chaplain, Monsignor John J. Endebrock, who celebrated the 60th anniversary of his ordination into the priesthood on April 2, 1998 by offering a Mass of Thanksgiving at St. Elizabeth's Church in Avon-by-the-Sea.

Kudos
On Easter Sunday, all BFC members, and their families and guests in attendance, enjoyed a delightful buffet. A special thanks to all staff members who worked to make this special event a success.

The Annual Spring Dinner Dance hosted by Marty Nesbitt and Pat Aberle was an outstanding success. The band, Heart and Soul, provided a pleasant evening of entertainment and dancing.

New Members
A warm BFC welcome to the following new members: Dorothy Wilson, and Joseph and Delores Diaz.

Note: The First Annual Cocktail Party for new members will be held on Friday, May 15, 1998.

Reminders
The bar and restaurant will remain open on Wednesdays through May. (Click here for dinner specials.)

Memorial Day will be celebrated on Monday, May 25, 1998. The bar will be open from 2pm until 7pm.

In order to protect our new carpeting, please use the ashtrays provided for you at the bar for the disposal of matches, cigar clippings and ashes. Thank you for your cooperation.

Current Business
President Sigrist has selected the following members to serve on the pier reconstruction committee: F. Sigrist, Chairman; Rich Mentrasti; Rich Hohweiler; Howard Preville; Terry Deodato; and Tim Fitzpatrick.

A special informational meeting was held on April 5, regarding the Absentee Ballot survey. Results of the survey will be made public by the end of the month. Please refer all inquiries concerning this survey to Vice President James Curley.

Future Events
The semi-annual General Meeting will be held at the BFC on Sunday, May 17, 1998, at 2pm. All members are encouraged to attend.

Saturday, May 2, Derby Day.

Saturday, May 23, Hawaiian Night, hosted by Cliff and Valerie Robinson, and Ed and Elizabeth Miklus.

First Annual BFC Talent Show - President Sigrist invites all members to participate in the First Annual Talent Show to be held in late Spring at the BFC. Tom Coyle and Jim Weighorst will be co-hosts for this event.
